I got the exo terra plantation soil for my crested gecko, because now he has large coco husks, he almost swallowed a large piece when hunting for crickets! so I got rid of that stuff. so how is the plantation soil stuff.. easily digestible?
I don’t use any loose substrate anymore. It’s cause too many problems in my reptiles and amphibians. I’m using reptile carpets, tiles, and linoleum now. It’s much easier to clean and there is no possible risk of impaction from ingesting it.
I have never used the plantation soil, so I can’t tell you anything out of my experiences, but again, it’s a loose substrate and your gecko has a change of ingesting it. It might be easily digestible but as all substrates too much will still cause a problem. So it’s always something you need to think about

camping stores How do you store food while camping?
Especially how to store meat and dairy products.
coolers are great… but also depends on where you are camping… racoons tend to open coolers as well… you have to be sure everything is secure.. also do not store non-perishable food in your tent.. racoons will also rip a hole in the tent to get to food

i was talking to an uncle of mine about his old .303 british and he was telling me this story of his about hunting with it years ago… he said he was hunting for elk or moose im not to sure but he was in british columbia canada and he said he took one iron sights at 400 + yards away… can you do that? with the one shot?
He’s not the best hot ever and I think it was the lee enfield. Also would this be a good roun to shoot coyotes with if you are not keeping the pelts?
Some of the #4 Enfields had an outstanding aperture rear sight system that was calibrated to the typical 174gr Mark 7 ammo, so taking a 400 yard shot was as easy as dialing in to the #4 mark and aiming.
As to hunting, such a shot is risky and irresponsible due to the odds of a clean kill at that range, but believable.
.303 British is a fine round for dispatching those pesky coyotes as long as you understand there will be a large exit wound that damages the pelt. I regularly use a .308, a bit bigger.
We are going to be in Maui for a week in April or May and someone suggested Honokowai as a good place to stay and rent a condo. Our main interest on the island is snorkeling (in calm waters, as we have kids). Are there good snorkeling spots nearby? We’ll have a rental car but don’t want to have a long drive every time we want to snorkel.
If not Honokowai, where would you recommend? Mainly we want a nice beach, snorkeling and a little hiking.
The best approach to this is to go to the prospective travel itinerary try this link www.visitmaui.com. However, if you really want to experience the sandy beach of Maui but you are not sure then you could check out Bahamas or Barbados these Islands have similar beaches front.
