Why do girl scouts earn badges?

I am doing a project on girl scouts.. and I cant seem to find why they earn badges! If you could answer the question, why they earn them? How they earn them? What types there are? thanks a ton !!

I was a Girl Scout many years ago and am now a Boy Scout leader. The Scouts earn badges in many different fields, some are required to move from one rank to another and some are up the the individual Scout to decide. Some of the required badges for both the Boys and Girls are fields like First Aid, Personal fitness, Home Life, Cooking. These are meant to give each Scout some of the knowledge they will need to become a responsible adult and be able to handle many different situations that life may throw their way. Other badges such as Indian Lore, Traffic Safety, Fingerprinting, etc give the scouts a taste of their history as well as future professions they may be interested in.

building a permanent hunting blind?

im building a few permanent hunting blinds on my property and i dont know what kind of wood i should use, is there a wood that will last for years outside without me needing to coat it

You can use a pretreated soft wood, this will last a long time.

What are some good menu ideas for camping?

Aside from hot dogs and smores, what other entrees can I prepare for a weekend camp out?

I go for things that are easy, don’t require a lot of dishes or prep, and can be cooked over either a fire or a stove.

Meat:
Hamburgers (you can cook them over a fire or grill)
BBQ Chicken Breasts (fire or grill)
Steaks (fire or gril)

Sides:
Instant Flavored Mashed Potatoes (very easy… just add boiling water).
Pre-made Potato Salad
Chips
Pre-cut raw vegetables with Ranch dressing
Baked beans (can be warmed up in their own can, thus eliminating some cleanup)

Lunch:
Sandwiches. If you are already bringing stuff for hamburgers, you usually have most of the sides for sandwiches, so just bring some deli meat and some bread and you’re good.
Beef Jerkey makes a good finisher for lunch.

Breakfast:
Well, here I break from the “easy to prep, easy to clean” method and usually go for the bacon, eggs, and blueberry pancakes just because it’s so yummy.

I bought a crosman 1077 and i want to know if i can kill a squirrel with it.?

Its a semi auto co2 rifle that fires pellets. These squirrels are eating through my wires so i think its time to seek revenge. Its hunting season, i live up north and i have a lisence to kill them i just wish to know if this gun will do the job.

Crosman 1077 – “Claims” a >Maximum of UP TO< 625fps - to even get close to 625fps you will have to be using very light weight pellets. You do not get to stick any weight pellet in this rifle and have it perform at the level of your wishful thinking.

The Crosman 2100 which claims, up to 725fps is marginal for small game, even at very close range.

If you want to hunt small game, I highly recommend a Benjamin 397 or the .22 caliber version of the same rifle, the 392

The 397 is accurate enough, and powerful enough to make clean, humane kills on small game out to around 35 yards, so long as you can make the shot(head). A 397 will last you a lifetime if you take reasonable care of it.

If you don't care for a multi-pump pneumatic(397) then step up to a break barrel springer. IMO, the RWS 34 is the best value.
