used scouting equipment Can Marine Scout Snipers wear/use aftermarket gear/guns?
I thought i read in an article somewhere that Scout Snipers can buy and use aftermarket guns. I’ve also seen a lot of stuff online, such as TAD gear and similar products, i was just wondering what all the rules for their equipment were and how all that stuff worked.

The most important thing a Marine scout sniper carries is a good pair of eyes and a communication system to report his intel.He’ll have a radio and, if he is in too deep for radio communications, he can send via satellite using his computer.
He’ll have a good pair of binoculars and night vision scope. He will carry a pencil and pad of parper to draw what he sees. Let me know when we get to something you think TAD Gear is going to provide that is better than what the Marine Corps will issue. Do you think they can sell him a better ghillie suit? How about his GPS, range finder, scope, or rifle? How about a calculator that lets him input his rifle, ammunition, temperature, humidity, etc. and give him a firing solution? Is the Marine Corps firing solution computer not up to what he needs?
What is it you would want to buy, MRE’s?
A shotgun won’t do you much good as a scout sniper. If you are caught within range of a shotgun you are done for.

I am going on a scout fishing trip on the 27th of March. And we are going to Yuba Reservoir, Utah. I go there a lot and I have a favorite place to fish where I can catch a heck of a lot of Yellow Perch. But in March it is still a little cold and the place that I like to fish is near shore. Will I be able to catch perch still? BTW, I use worms(jig or real) to catch them will this still work???
Yellow Perch are known for liking their water deep from time to time and you may have to adjust the float above your jig to find them, but they should be within reach of your cast. I would also keep my jig small…1/16 ounce or smaller and tip it with the smallest ends of nightcrawler, and I would use jigs with white, yellow or silver heads. Gitzit heads that look like the head of a minnow are also great, but remember to use the smallest size you can find. With a slight chop on the water top to give the jig a natural bounce, you should wake those perch right up and have a bucketful when it comes time for shore lunch. This same method works great over at Rockport as well, only there, you ALSO have the chance of taking home some really NICE trout. Especially down at the stream that runs in from the south end of the lake. My son and I took some really nice browns and ‘bows out of there. And as a final thought, remember that perch hang out in schools, so when you have found one, you have found a bunch of them. They may be on the move, but if you get into them, stay put as they will pass by again. Be ready! Good luck.
camping water heater Installing Electric Hot Water heaters?
In the building that I work in, we have three hot water tanks. The building was built around 1950 give or take a few years and now the tanks are being swapped out for new ones. The building is currently used as a dormitory for a children’s summer camp so three tanks is not such an unreasonable number. My question is this. Should the three new tanks be installed in series or parallel and why?
I forgot to mention that the building is still used by some volunteers during the winter but less than five people ( so a lesser need for hot water )
it depends on how the old units are piped. you can seperate each one if they are piped that way or you will have to re-pipe.
