scouts troop What is a good idea for a demistration my Scout Troop can but up?
We have a Scout-O-Rama coming up. That is where troops compete about topics and what not. Any way, every troop must create a display. It could be a craft or a physical competation, or even a demestration. What are some Ideas that would be imformative, yet a really hit (You know, popular)?
It really depends on what your troop is into. In our area we try to do a merit badge that the boys can earn. Some of the fun ones are cooking, first aid, ect. But if your not looking for merit badges try something that the boys enjoy when they go to camp like leather working or someother type of craft that is easy to set up and run. bsa cub scouts What are the BSA Knots that an adult leader can wear on their uniform that they earned as a child?
My husband was in scouts his whole childhood and attended and compleated everything he could except for his Eagle Service Project ( town didnt approve project before his 18th birthday). As an adult leader and assistant cubmaster ( to be cub master in 1.5 years) we are trying to find out which knots he is allowed to wear on his adult uniform?

Your husband may wear the square knot for any award he earned as a youth or adult that has a knot associated with the award.
The most common that a youth can earn are:
Arrow of Light (or WeBeLoS) award
Eagle Scout
Religous award
There are other awards a youth can earn that can be worn by the adult:
Quartermaster
RANGER (Pre-1998)
Heroism award
Honor medal
Hornaday award
Your husband should attend training for his positions in the pack, and can work on earning the Cub Scouter awards and Cubmaster awards.
hiking zion national park Winter hiking at Zion national park?
I am planning my Christmas vacation right now. several national parks nearby Zion national park are still open. Just wonder whether is durable to walk outside at the end of December?
Properly equipped ,anywhere is hike-able.
It’s a cold dry environment The snow line in that part of the west is around 6000′
Dress in layers ,Capeline > pile and or down> shell garments and have fun.
If you’re planning on camping out and you don’t own a winter bag,get a 0 degree bag rather than a 15 degree bag since with a down bag the difference between the weight and cost is negligible But the difference in sleeping comfort is considerable.
One more thing make sure that you have good sunglassses bc the combination of snow , sun and high altitude sky will do some nasty things to your eyes
