Who is from Iceland?? Care to share some knowledge?
What is the city of Akureyri like? (sorry, that may be spelled wrong, but i think you know which city i am thinking of). I am visiting there next summer for an international scouting jamboree and i am wondering what the city is like? Thank you very much!
I’m from Iceland. Akureyri (you spelled it right) is a town with around 17,000 inhabitants, so it’s not very big. It is in a beautiful fjord in the North of Iceland. It’s a very nice town, I always enjoy visiting it. They have a lot of nice, old houses and cute streets and this is a relatively quiet town, but you can still find a lot of fun things to do there. Nature is just a few steps away too, so it’s a great place for outdoor activities.

Ready to potty train at 14 months?!?
My mom babysat my son yesterday and she took him over the her neighbor’s house. When I came back the neighbor lady said that my son is getting ready to potty train himself. I thought come on now he’s 14 months he couldnt know,but she said he would hold his crotch area and the would pee in his diaper and that he knew the feeling of having to pee. Also the other night we were camping and I put him in swim trunks with no diaper and he didnt potty for 3 hours until I put the diaper on him. Is this lady crazy or for real?!
Get a little potty out and encourage him to use it. Although it is rare that they start this young it is possible. It doesn’t hurt to try. My son started to show sign he was ready around 18 months, and he wasn’t fully trained until around his third birthday. My daughter is almost two and wants nothing to do with the potty. Every child is different.

Are gas lanterns dangerous?
For camping, an adult, and a 13yr old
They can be dangerous in several ways:
1. The lens and top of the lantern can get extremely hot, causing burns to your body parts, camping gear, and tent if they come into contact.
2. If you use a gas lantern inside a tent that is closed up too tightly at night (without some ventilation open) the fumes given off from the lantern can build up and reach lethal levels.
3. If you try to dry your wet poly socks on the top of the lantern, they might melt onto the top! Been there and done that one!!!

scouting definition
i need help with my girl scout silver award interest projects, HELP!!!!?
i’m doing my silver award for girl scouts rite now and i need to start planning what to do, but i cant find on the internet what a interest project is. so canyou help me ? i need like either a definition or a few examples!!!!!!!!!
Your troop leader forgot to explain it! It’s a project that would take at least 40 hours of planning and completion, and it should benefit someone.
